On Thursday, 12th September, Child’s Vision had the privilege of being invited to the prestigious House of Lords in celebration of our receipt of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS). This remarkable recognition honours the outstanding contributions of charities across the UK.
We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, the Lord and Lady Colgrain. Lady Colgrain, Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, represents His Majesty The King in the county.
Also joining the celebration was Martyn Lewis, Chair of the KAVS team, who, along with our hosts, guided us through a fascinating tour of the historic building. The day concluded with a delightful cream tea on the terrace, where we were able to take in the stunning views of the Thames and reflect on the significance of the occasion.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in organising and hosting this incredible event, which stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Child’s Vision. This honour fuels our passion to continue making a positive impact in the lives of children and families across the region.
